Homeschool Your Child for Free: More Than 1, Smart, Effective, and Practical Resources for Home Education on the Internet and Beyond, by LauraMaery Gold and Joan M. Zielinski. Homeschooling on a Shoestring: A Jam Packed Guide, by Melissa L. Morgan and Judith Waite Allee. How to Write a Low Cost/No Cost Curriculum for Your Home-School Child. The other day, I game across a book titled “Popular Party Games.” It’s an page softcover book, published in and it cost . $! I couldn’t help but become nostalgic for the days when birthday parties were held at home with a few simple games, cake and treat bags. Here are 7 of my favorite games from the book.

Consider your child’s learning style and current interests. One child may do well with a packaged curriculum, while another needs a more hands-on style of learning. In addition, if your child is currently fascinated by bugs, for example, you may want to find a science curriculum that covers the study of insects. Research the Curriculum.   There is a pretty good book called, "How to Write a Low-cost/no-cost curriculum" that can get you started. There's also a great book called, "Homeschooling on a shoestring" and another called "Homeschool Your Child For Free" using mainly free internet resources. The internet and the library are probably the best resources you'll find, and free.

My strategy was based on economics. I could not afford to purchase a curriculum when I started. So I developed my own, with help from a book titled How to Write a Low Cost/No Cost Curriculum by Borg Hendrikson. I developed a personalized curriculum for my child. It is also important to be flexible. I use our curriculum as a guideline. Harris, Greg, The Christian Home School.
